Planet We

short film-documentary by Karin Grand

The short film 'Planet We´ by filmmaker Karin Grand, captures Mirko Guido, with a group of dancers, transform the strong and concrete architecture of Aros into an imaginary space through their performance. A planet where the most important natural resource seems to be the relational space in and of itself.

“Mirko explores the relationship between near and distant. Through the concrete room, he stages layer upon layer of new rooms. Together with his team of performers he initiates an almost intimate dialogue with the audience. About planets and plants and the feeling of home. How far can we stretch into space, and when we come back, where do we look? Where is home? This is one of the questions Mirko Guido asks the audience during his performance. In a one to one dialogue. Every day, the walls, balconies and hard floor seemed more alive and softer. What a look and touch can do to even the most robust structure. Little by little I was able to move closer to the dancers and become part of the imaginary landscape that emerged.” Karin Grand
