"Distances Within" is inspired by the idea of disorientation. Like a daily lapse, sees the incessant rhythmic repetition of movements in space becoming dance. It is a series of persistent actions that seems to end in themselves, at times suffocating, like a game with no end or solution. That moment when the gap created between the actual and the desired reside in the body itself.

"Distances Within" is a choreographic composition that accepts chance with preparatory decisions. Architectural, technical and aesthetic choices, maps the directions of penetration in the choreographic moment to be analyzed; the extension of the area of investigation may range from the detail of the body articulation, to the spatial perception, to the complex and more complete relationship between the body and the surrounding environment in an instant.
The work has two main concepts: repetition and vicious circle, and it consists of three scenes. Each one takes an autonomous direction, although consequentially to one another. Each scene sees the performer persevere with few but intense actions. Composed in this way, the choreographic structure creates a counterpoint to the complex and detailed work of the performers improvisation, creating simplicity and strength in which the performer is found to persist in actions. Actions that do not have a real way out. Instead they seem to end in themselves, at times suffocating.
